SO 50 is just a few days away... wow! The past 10 years were probably the most eventful (good) and a few sad. But that is life unfortunately. I am here to start journaling the next 10. Filling the entries with exciting, bucket filling, and forever grateful moments!
Over the weekend, I had my closet peeps take me on an Excusion to Boston. Complete with Birthday Tiara, boa, necklace, shots at a dive, dinner at Rock Bottom, and a Show, Sheer Madness. WOW! What fun. I enjoyed all of it and really appreciate all those little things that made me feel special. Van decorated with "Happy birthday Debbie", snacks, water, balloons... god, so thoughtful!
So, I will gather up my list of moments that have been touching...
1. My 40th birthday party. WOW!
2. A trip to Hawaii with my mom and Donna.
3. Finishing off the basement at my condo.
4. Falling in Love with Ken!
5. Receiving a diamond tennis bracelet for Valentine's Day.
6. Getting engaged!
7. Planning a spectacular wedding!
8. Having an incredible wedding ceremony and reception!
9. Going on a wonderful honeymoon to Aruba!
10. Coming back with the greatest souvenier... a honeymoon baby!
11. A successful pregnancy despite the hospitalization.
12. Pregnancy #2. A New Year's Eve gift!
13. Losing 3 very important women... :( I miss them every day, but know they helped to form me into the woman I am today.
14. Mrs. Towne Love of God, the church, and family
15. Babci Love of family, traditions, and generosity
16. My Mom unconditional love, friendship, love of family, supporting wife, sharing and fairness.
17. Selling our condo.
18. Purchasing this big beautiful home.
19. Purchasing the land adjacent to our home.
20. Having Ken spend a year with the boys.
21. Watching my husband get the job of his dreams!
22. Watching my boys grow.
23. Cheering on my boys as they experience the things they LOVE! Basketball, Track, Swim
24. Having the greatest inlaws... father, brothers, sisters... they are all great!
25. Having the priviledge to host an engagement party... a rehersal dinner and participating in Josh and Kristin's wedding.
26. Experiencing DisneyWorld with the boys!
27. Going to Seasame Place with them at the perfect age!
28. Exploring the beach and passing on the love of the ocean to my kids.
29. Enjoying every second of the Christmas Season... lights, nativity, church. :)
30. Spending time with friends and their children supporting the kids in 'having fun"!
31. Losing my best bud... Dudley.
32. Selecting another handsome boy and building that relationship to the fullest potential.
33.Watching my dad sucessfully recover through a heart operation.
34. Celebrating his 75th birthday!
35. Sharing in my brother's 40th birthday bash!
36. Watching the boys become cousin/friends with my nephews.
37. Supporting Donna in her trials. Giving her love, and more love...
38. Enjoying the wedding of Shannon and Bill.
39. Seeing Ken develope new friendships.
40. Watching Ken create a beautiful yard.
41. Observing as he 'finishes off" another basement.
42. Having paid off our cars in full!!!
43. Paying back my dad!
44. Selling Ken's family house.
45. Going on staycations in our own state with Gary, Erica and kids.
46. Taking time to celebrate milestones with my friends. Mo's 40th, Lorie's 50th, Erica's 40th.
47. Celebrating family at our monthly cookouts.
48. Opening up our home to celebrations happy ( cookie parties, christmas parties, showers and sad . (George :( )
